The Fool Moon Theatre Company presents the mature one-act comedies Death Defying Acts. This long running Off-Broadway hit comedy features the work of three gifted playwrights:
An Interview by David Mamet: During an oblique and mystifying interrogation, a sleazy lawyer being interviewed at the gates of hell is forced to answer difficult questions — and to admit the truth about his life and career.
Hotline by Elaine May: A neurotic woman with enough urban angst to fill a neighborhood calls a suicide crisis hotline late one night and gets an overwhelmed “first night on the job” counselor. Pattye Herron directs.
Central Park West by Woody Allen: Phyllis is a celebrated psychoanalyst who discovers her lawyer husband, Sam, is having an affair with her best friend, Carol, a career shopper married to a manic-depressive writer. Sam, it appears, has it bad for one of Phyllis’ young patients. Scott Cronick directs.
There is an additional performance on February 26 at 2pm.
