Hudson Exploited Theater Company and The Park Performing Arts Center
in association with Actors of the World present Manhatitlán by Marco Aponte & Lance Lattig, directed by Lance Lattig.
Manhatitlán is a powerful new play that explores exile and separation through the lives of Antonio, a Mexican migrant worker in New York City, and María, his wife back in Mexico. This innovative piece is based on the highly acclaimed French-Caribbean play Ton Beau Capitaine by Simone Schwarz-Bart. Manhatitlán premiered at the New York International Fringe Festival 2003 in an English version under the direction of Lance Lattig. This production is unique in that it will be the first time that the play will be performed entirely in Spanish.
