About This Show

Long Wharf Theatre presents a reading of The Prosecution of Brandon Hein, a new play based on a true story, written by Charles Grodin with direction by Gordon Edelstein.

In 1995, Brandon Hein was a 18-year-old when he and some teen-age friends got into in a brawl. One of those friends pulled out a knife, killing another teenager and Hein ended up in prison for life with no chance for parole. It’s the same sentence given to Gary Ridgeway, who admitted to killing 48 women. Brandon Hein has now served ten years in prison for a crime another man admitted to committing.
