H.M.S. Pinafore

The D’Oyly Carte Opera Company comes to New Haven to present H.M.S. Pinafore. Ralph, a lowly sailor, is in love with Josephine, the Captiain’s daughter. Josephine has already been promised to Sir Joseph, First Lord of the Admiralty. The Captain has a secret admirer as well?Little Buttercup, the peddler. Due to everyone’s social position, no one is allowed to marry his or her true love. In delightful Gilbert and Sullivan style, a final revelation by Buttercup brings all the hilarious trauma to an end.
