Wrap yourself up and jump in the troika for a snowy ride through the Russian countryside as Revels North presents its own version of the classic Russian folktale, “The Fool of the World and the Flying Ship.” In order to win the hand of his true love, the Czar’s daughter, a simple hero must travel in his flying machine across the huge expanse of Eastern Europe and accomplish near-impossible tasks. As he journeys through Ukraine, Georgia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Bohemia, Poland and Russia, a glittering array of winter solstice customs, folk music and songs, festive dances and dazzling costumes come brilliantly to life.
