Fred Moore Middle School presents Narnia: The Musical, a retelling of C.S. Lewis’s The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. The production mirrors the conflicts of Lewis’s fantasy world with the struggles of war-torn Britain during the 1940s, creating an intense and thought-provoking new vision. By conjuring memories and images of World War II, this bold adaptation raises many questions and asks its audience to reflect on the hardships and sacrifices of war.
Narnia: The Musical is directed by Jefferson Fietek with vocal direction by Kirstin Kuchler and musical direction by Benjamin Lacina. Jules Tasca adapted the story for the stage with lyrics by Ted Drachman and music by Thomas Tierney.
The Friday, November 10 performance of Narnia: The Musical features an ASL interpretation.
