Shockheaded Peter

Cultural Industry continues its tour of one of the most bizarre and wildly entertaining works ever to leap off the London stage. This music-theater piece is based on the macabre 1844 children’s tales by Heinrich Hoffman. The show (which recently received a Drama Desk nomination for unique theatrical experience) features music by the Tiger Lillies, a two-story Toy Theater stage, and large-scale puppets. It is a black comedy for sophisticated children, their dreadful parents, and anyone who has ever sucked their thumb. Note: Performance is not recommended for children under age 10.
