About This Show

In Thomas Gibbons’ play, Editor Shelita Burns has realized her dreams by bringing into print a series of forgotten books by African American authors, primarily women. The first by a living author is a poetic novel entitled Bee-Luther-Hatchee by Black southerner Libby Price. However, success has its surprises. The cross-country sojourn to meet her best-selling mentor leads Shelita on a whodunit of ideas, including the meaning of the play’s title.
