Monster Box Theatre continues its fall/winter season with The Book of Liz, written by comedic legends David and Amy Sedaris.
In this uproarious comedy, Liz, a runaway from a community of "Squeamish" who live in a parish and keep to themselves…and God. The community supports itself through the production of cheese balls, crafted by Sister Elizabeth Donderstock.
Feeling underappreciated, Liz resolves to leave her community and journeys to a new life. Along the way, she meets a smattering of outlandish characters, including a woman dressed as "Mr. Peanut" and her foreign family.
Through her new friends, Liz gets a job at a chain restaurant and bonds with the recovering alcoholic manager and his staff. When she is offered a promotion with the condition of changing things about herself, Liz must decide what to do next.
