For the centerpiece of the Merce In Miami citywide tribute to one of the great artists of our era, Carnival Center presents three different programs by a troupe whose name is synonymous with ground-breaking American contemprary dance.
A world premiere of a new piece especially created for this engagement, in collaboration with Miami visual artist Daniel Arsham, will perform in the Ziff Ballet Opera House along with several other Cunningham works (February 23-25; F at 8, Su at 7:30).
In the Knight Concert Hall, Cunningham’s magnificent Ocean will be staged (March 1-3; Th-Sa at 8pm).
