About This Show

Taylor Marsh was just nine years old when John F. Kennedy was assassinated. The youngest of three siblings, Taylor witnessed the emotional pain her older brother and sister endured over the loss of a hero and the hope that died along with him. Even at such a young age, Taylor was profoundly impacted as she watched her brother and sister, not to mention a nation, weep for J.F.K. “Will I be that devoted to a leader someday,” she wondered? “What will matter to me? What will I cry about?”

In her one woman show, pundit, performer and radio personality Taylor Marsh takes the audience on a provocative and passionate journey through her intriguing life of politics, sex and religion – searching for meaning and understanding while trying to make sense of the absurdity of it all. From a desperate cross the state line abortion, to dancing on Broadway, to research work as a phone sex operator, Marsh offers a no holds-bar look inside the inner workings of a vivacious feminist who holds women accountable, makes politicians responsible and all the while mandates a place for God and war.

Weeping for J.F.K. is drawn from her column written for LA Weekly and on her own website, from materials used on her radio show (The Antidote to Right Wing Talk), from her book My Year in Smut, countless research – and a life lustfully lived.
