About This Show

Dance With Me Productions presents Waltzing with Death, four completely outrageous, original, hysterical and wonderful one-act plays written by Suzanne Keilly and directed by David G. Robinson.

The evening includes:

THE WAITING ROOM – After a booze induced one night stand, Nick, a has-been rocker and Rose, a quirky make up counter girl meet again under much less appealing circumstances in the waiting room of her gynecologist’s office. While being forced to face their indiscretion in a crowded doctor’s office, Nick and Rose find that they may have more in common than their mistakes.

NORTH BY NORTH POLE – In this film-noir, elf detective, Tom Tinsel, is on the case when Santa Claus is stabbed to death in his North Pole Mansion. The suspects – Santa’s hard as nails daughter, Christine Kringle Claus, his bombshell second wife, Candy Cane, his inept body guard, the Abominable Snowman, his fast talking, conniving sleigh driver, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and Jesus – do nothing but gum up the works as he tries to unravel a mystery more daunting than a knotted coil of last year’s Christmas lights after three egg-nogs and a slice of rum cake. Will he be able to solve the biggest murder of all time before the ice melts?

ON DEATH AND TOM’S DYING – A young actress takes a part time job as Death to pay the bills and ends up on the doorstep of a man who has no intention of leaving life so quietly. Tom, an unhappy production accountant who was recently dumped by the love of his life opens the door to find Death standing there. As if things couldn’t get worse, Death, turns out to be an inexperienced part time substitute who is trying to make ends meet to support her unsuccessful acting career. Death needs to get him to the afterlife before her acting class starts, but Tom has a lot of trouble accepting his fate and refuses to leave without a fight.

HIGH SOCIETY – Marital monotony creeps into the trailer home and into the lives of its young occupants. A closed minded, but well meaning husband refuses to understand and accept his wife’s passion for all things dance. His fruitless attempts at luring her away from the dark side, only manage to pull her further into her fantasies where she creates the most interesting interpretation of Fred and Ginger this side of the trailer park.
