The Square

Lisa Peterson directs this bold experiment in which sixteen prominent playwrights contributed short works. The Square is set in and around a town square in the heart of Chinatown. Conceived by Chay Yew and Lisa Peterson, the project is part of Taper, Too, the Mark Taper Forum’s new experimental theater testing ground. Contributing playwrights include Ping Chong, Constance Congdon, Kia Corthron, Philip Kan Gotanda, Jessica Hagedorn, Holly Hughes, Diana Son, David Henry Hwang, Craig Lucas, Mac Wellman, Marion Isaac McClinton, and Maria Irene Fornes.
