About This Show

The Road Theatre Company presents Jim Henry’s The Seventh Monarch at the Deaf West Theatre. Miriam and her parents have lived in seclusion for the past twenty years. Miriam’s life is changed forever when she is visited by Raina, a Social Security investigator, who is inquiring about the strange signatures on the back of the parents’ Social Security checks. Miriam’s parents are nowhere to be found. The only explanation Miriam offers is that they flew away in a comet. Raina struggles with the question of whether Miriam is a troubled genius or a dangerous psychopath. As the layers are peeled back from Miriam’s protective, psychological cocoon, Raina learns the true fate of the parents and the dark secrets that haunt Miriam. Deborah LaVine directs.

There is no show on Friday, July 4.
