Santa Monica Playhouse presents BFF ENCORE, the Audience Faves version of the BFF Binge Fringe Festival of FREE Theatre, the only FREE Fringe Festival in the nation. We’re excited to present BFF ENCORE online June 27 – July 18, 2021. What’s live-streaming today? Sonia Jackson’s MAMAISMS, Old-Fashioned Wisdom for a New Generation. We all know the Mamaisms, “Because I said so!” “Eat that food, there are starving children in the world!” or “Say that again and I’ll wash your mouth out with soap!” Sonia takes us on a roller coaster of universal themes about grandmas, mamas, children and mothering to tell the stories that make us think about how to parent well and how to be thoughtful, mindful and kind in life.
