Tape

Tape centers on Vince, a drug-dealer, and Jon, an aspiring filmmaker. Best friends from high school, they reunite years later in Lansing, Michigan where Jon attends the local film festival. The drama unfolds in a single evening at a Motel 6 as Vince finally gets Jon to admit that 10 years ago he date-raped Amy Randall, a girl whom they both dated in high school. The situation heats up when Vince reveals not only that he taped their entire conversation, but also that he invited Amy – whom Jon has not seen since high school – to dinner. Tape delves beneath the surface of human behavior to explore questions of motive, memory, truth, and perception. Darin Anthony directs.
