About This Show

Lizzie Borden: murderess or victim?

You decide.

Greetings, ladies and gentlemen. It is the year of our lord 1892. The place, Fall River, Mass. — otherwise known to the mill workers as Spindle City. Lizzie Borden has been accused of one of the most horrific crimes in all of early American history: the gruesome ax murders of her father Andrew and her stepmother Abby.

The notorious Lizzie Borden goes on trial for her life. Indeed, a good many in the community agree that she did the butchery. But Spindle City was a place of dark secrets, and Andrew Borden kept many of his own. There are those who harbored a deep and abiding hatred for the rich man who demanded mill workers work long hours for pitiful wages. Did the workers in the finest textile mills on the Eastern Seaboard finally reach a breaking point?

Don’t miss this riveting, hilarious, strange and compelling tale of what transpired in Spindle City. A night of vintage American horror!
