Becoming Austin Nation
Friday, February 18th at 7:30pm and Saturday, February 19th
Austin Nation will share his autobiographical piece.   Diagnosed with HIV/AIDS at the age of 26 this is the story of a person facing his own mortality until the release of the life extending drug AZT. At 40, Austin beat back his demons and is living his best life as a drag performer and a professor of nursing at Cal State Fullerton. It’s a story you do not want to miss.

Finally, Anastasia Washington presents her one woman show.  “What are you?” “I would make a pillow out of your hair!” and other things you shouldn't say to a human is the topic in this hilarious confessional of a Bi Racial Woman. Anastasia spills all the tea on the shady moments of a Bi Racial Woman’s life. She shares heartbreaking and often hilarious stories. You’ll laugh, you’ll learn and you’ll wake the hell up.

They Tend to Themselves
Friday, March 11th at 7:30pm

Gabrielle Jackson will perform her choreopoem.  The piece explores what creates connection and disconnection between Black women and the world around them, using original poetry, narrative, movement, and inspiration from performance art from the African diaspora, writer and performer, Gabby, creates a vision of her internal narrative and connects with audiences to explore our collective humanity.

COVID-19 ATTENDANCE POLICY
Vaccines and masks remain the most effective weapons against the pandemic.  Considering the size of our space, CDC guidelines, and a decision of our board of directors, both will be required until further notice.  This is a requirement of our audiences, crew, house management, performers, staff, and volunteers.

Patrons attending live performances will be required to show proof of vaccination upon entering the space.  Masks must be worn the entirety of time at Grand Central Art Center.  N95 masks will be available for all patrons.  Covid-19 protocols will be in place to ensure the safety of all in attendance.
