About This Show

Venice Theatre Works presents two intriguing one-acts.

Safe takes place in a bank vault where five terrifed people hide during a violent robbery. Written and directed by Justin A. Yoffe, this one-act was inspired by the Columbine tragedy and the North Hollywood Bank of America shoot-out. The play explores the ramifications of sudden violence and what happens to people when the veil of security is broken.

Eddie’s Night Out by Matthew Reidy is about redemption. The play chronicles a night in the life of a lonely man who is conned by a prostitute and seeks revenge. The long-reaching effects of childhood trauma are explored in this gripping one-act.

Sunday Night Performances Are Pay-What-You-Can.
