Riverdance

When the Irish cultural import, Riverdance, first landed in California for its 1996 premiere at the Pantages, the stage musical spectacular, buoyed by the popularity of a PBS television special, sold nearly every one of the theatre’s 2700 seats for the three-week engagement — even before the first step-dancing taps reverberated through the landmark theatre’s art deco interior. Now, ten years later, the phenomenon returns to its Los Angeles “home” with its excitement, beauty and grandeur. The original celebration of Irish music, song and dance that has touched the hearts of millions around the world, continues to draw crowds to share the magic with family and friends.
