Richard Glaser and His Band returns to the Santa Monica Playhouse Main Stage to present A Salute to Mother’s Day for the Save the Playhouse Campaign. In March, nearly one hundred disappointed fans were unable to obtain seats to see this original progressive jazz band in their initial Save the Playhouse benefit performance, so vocalist Monique DuBose, pianist Richard Glaser, percussionist Mark San Filippo and bass player Miguel Sawaya are returning to once again donate their time and musical talents to this worthy cause.
Santa Monica Playhouse has launched a major fund-raising campaign to purchase their space. It’s do or die for this local theatrical gem, which celebrates its 40th year of uninterrupted theatrical and educational services to the community this year. The next benchmark is $100,000, which
must be raised by June 30. Local, national and international artists are donating performances to help raise money.
