About This Show

Mary Zimmerman’s mesmerizing METAMORPHOSES is a stunning exploration into the heart of Ovid’s masterpiece featuring such mythical characters as Midas, Eros, Apollo and Phaeton. It is set in, on and around a beautifully reflective pool of water that represents everything from a stormy sea to an adulterous bed to a pool at the home of an over-privileged child. The actors wade, float, fight and even make love in this fluid set. The 90-minute journey mixes earthy humor with sudden tragedy.

Preview tickets are $25.00. April 11, 2000 is a “Pay-What-You-Can” performance.
