Tom Cole’s award-winning drama, Medal of Honor Rag returns for two special Veterans Day weekend performances. The play is based on the true story of Dwight Johnson, a young African-American man from Detroit who broke free from ghetto life and returned home from Vitetnam with the Congressional Medal of Honor…but his heroism becomes the catalyst for disaster. Still suffering from the psychological aftermath of the war, D.J. recommits himself to the psychiatric ward at Valley Forge Army Hospital, where the Army seeks his cure. As the vet struggles to reconcile his award with the atrocities he’s witnessed and committed, the session takes and ironic turn when the doctor, himself a survivor of the Holocaust, breaks the rules to confess his own survivor guilt.
