About This Show

Celebration Theatre presents the Los Angeles premiere of 1996’s Oppenheimer/Newsday award-winning best new American Play, Insurrection: Holding History, written by Robert O’Hara. The show is a bold and daring theatre experience which follows the metaphorical and psychological journey of a gay African-American graduate student who travels with his great-great grandfather back in time through his family’s ancestry.
