About This Show

The NoHo Arts Center presents the Los Angeles premiere of Timothy Findley’s Elizabeth Rex, which first opened in 2000 to critical acclaim at Canada’s Stratford Festival. The story takes place on the eve of the execution of the Earl of Essex, the Queen’s former lover, convicted of treason. To ease her grief, the Queen summons Shakespeare’s theatre troupe to perform a comedy, after which she engages in further gratification with the troupe’s “leading lady” – Ned Lowenscroft.

Additional Thursday performances 5/11/06 @ 8PM and 5/18/06 @ 8PM.
