Rubicon Theatre Company, Ventura County’s only professional theater, has gained a reputation for “exciting, eye-opening interpretations of classics,” and for supporting the development of new works. Rubicon’s mission is to share the power and joy of live theater through the creation, production and presentation of innovative works for local and national audiences; and through high-quality education and enrichment programs. The organization serves more than 25,000 area residents and visitors annually, with inventive productions of classic and contemporary plays, at least one world premiere each season, readings of works-in-progress, and an array of educational programs and events.
