Debussy: His Letters and His Music

About This Show

Celebrated soprano Julia Migenes explores the life of composer Claude Debussy, the “founder of musical impressionism.” Debussy: His Letters and His Music delves into Debussy’s youth, his great wit, and his constant battle with the more conservative musical world. Debussy’s actual letters lead into his music in this new stage biography of one of the most highly regarded composers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Migenes is accompanied on piano by Manuel Arellano and directed by Academy Award-nominated director Peter Medak.
