What if Gospel stories were about a preacher boy named Johnny in rural Georgia rather than a rabbi named Jesus in ancient Palestine? This bluegrass musical based on The Cottonpatch Gospels by Clarence Jordan features music by the late, great Harry Chapin. Cotton Patch Gospel is a rip-roarin’, foot-stompin’ musical treat.
The production moves to the Lyceum Theatre (79 Horton Plaza) from August 3-31.
