CODA: Debut Album

About This Show

Hollywood Fringe Festival Presents an Ed Blount Production, CODA: Debut Album, a collection of plays about the rhythms of love and music. Vincent Tula, director of the LA workshop of Year of the Slut, which went on to win FRIGID New York’s Audience Choice Award 2011, leads an ensemble of talented actors, dancers, and musicians in a “dramatic album” of seven short plays by Cynthia Glucksman.

CODA: Debut Album features seven plays, exploring the jagged journey of love, from the delight and novelty of the first date through the rift of loss and co-dependency. Embodying both comedy and drama, each play highlights the tug-of-war between emotional love and logic. The play offers a remarkable collaboration between the writer, director, and cast.

CODA: Debut Album showcases a sparkling ensemble of talent, including Scott Cooper, Kimberley Jurgen, P.J. King, Ashley Danielle Simpson, Ally Zee and Katey Zouck. The arresting and captivating performances weave perfectly into the lyrical style of Cynthia Glucksman’s writing and the beautiful intensity of Vincent Tula’s direction.
