Cesar and Ruben

The world premiere of Cesar and Ruben, a musical celebration of the life and work of Cesar Chavez is written and directed by Ed Begley, Jr. and features songs by music greats including Ruben Blades, Peter Gabriel, Joni Mitchell, Carlos Santana, Enrigue Iglesias, David Crosby and Carmen Moreno.

Ruben Salazar was the award winning LA Times columnist who wrote about Cesar’s causes until his untimely death in 1970. The cast of 15 includes Robert Alcazar as Cesar, Tony D’Arc as Ruben, Marta Dubois as Helen Chavez, Danielle Barbosa as Delores and Edward Albert as Naylor.
