New York City
In Blue/Orange, winner of the 2001 Olivier Award for Best New Play, two psychiatrists – one young and inexperienced, the other established in his career – fight over the diagnosis and treatment of a mental patient, a young man who claims to be the son of an exiled African dictator. The two doctors end up using the patient as a pawn in their own battles, and audiences are left wondering who is the more unstable of the threesome in this edgy comedy.
