About This Show

Apartment A presents another in its “An Evening…” series of short plays with An Evening…On The Brink, written by Patrick Breen, Maurice Chauvet, Patricia Cotter, Stefani Relles, Peter Soby, Jr., Sharr White and Guy Zimmerman and directed by Maurice Chauvet, Bob King, Peymon Maskan, Geoffrey Nauffts, Randy Schulman, Michael Angelo Stuno and Guy Zimmerman. The seven plays included are:

1. Weekend At Bellevue by Patrick Breen
In Manhattan, depression, guilt, manipulation and paranoia, blossom into romance on the day two strangers coincidentally choose to end it all on adjacent rooftops.

2. Three-fifty by Maurice Chauvet
At his local video store, a man lying about returning a DVD on time finds the staff using the data terminal behind the counter has access to far more than the usual information.

3. Great Things by Guy Zimmerman
Dark secrets and hidden impulses are revealed when the manager of a laundry facility in a sleazy Hollywood hotel gets more than he bargained for from a woman he brings in off the street.

4. Untitled. Oil On Canvas by Sharr White
On a late, rainy night in New York, a police officer ushers an unlikely reunion between father and son.

5. Human Resources by Stefani Relles
The dark side of corporate communication is revealed when a junior executive is reprimanded by the Head of Human Resources for writing a dirty email on the company server.

6. The Girls by Patricia Cotter
A trip to the doctor’s office sets the stage for unexpected sibling rivalry, as two grown sisters vie for their ailing Mother’s attention.

7. Forever! by Peter Soby, Jr.
Samuel and Courtney believe that true love exists in this jaded world, and they are going to prove it!
