About This Show

A Woman’s Place highlights 10 courageous American women, from puritan Anne Hutchinson, who fought for women’s religious freedom in 1634, to modern-day women’s activist and former congresswoman Bella Abzug. Wearing many hats as the author, director, producer (with associate producer Justine Visone) and as an actor in the play, Synthaxis Theater Company’s Executive Director Estelle Busch embodies the “can-do” nature of the women who are represented, which she originally presented as a one-woman play in 1980.
