About This Show

A SHAYNA MAIDEL (Yiddish for “A Pretty Girl”) is the moving story of two sisters, Rose White and her sister Luisa, who are reunited in New York in 1946 after 18 years of separation. One has spent her life in America and the other has survived the Nazi concentration camps in Poland. Together, they overcome the cultural and historical divides that separate them and discover the meaning of family in this haunting, award-winning drama.
