About This Show

The Blank Theatre Company is set to open two winning plays from its Annual Young Playwrights Festival under the title ‘A Night Out’ with Young Playwrights. ?Boy? by 18 year old Beth Bigler is directed by Jessica Kubzansky and ?Starry Night? by 19 year old Joshua Levine is directed by Daniel Henning.

Starry Night tells the story of two young men who find the courage to love and seek their unique identity in spite of the leers and jeers of society and the garish stereotypes of the Gay Pride movement. ?Boy? follows a young woman?s sexual awakening through her own perceptions of the people around her. Her overbearing parents send her from shrink to shrink and finally away to boarding school to get her away from Ella, a nineties siren.-dt
