A Christmas Carol

An Orange County holiday tradition returns for the 26th season, when Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol opens at South Coast Repertory. The story of the calloused, despicable, penny-pinching Ebenezer Scrooge, who opens his heart after being confronted by three spirits, remains one of Dickens’ most widely recognized and popular creations. For 26 years, season after season, Hal Landon Jr. has brought Scrooge to life on SCR’s stage to the delight of generations of Southern California families.

Adapted for the stage by former SCR dramaturg Jerry Patch and directed by John-David Keller, this timeless tale of hope and redemption is said to define Christmas as we know it today.
