About This Show

The Ovation Award-winning Road Theatre Company presents the Seasonal Performance of A Christmas Carol , by Charles Dickens. Darryl Johnson directs.

A man with a flair for telling stories describes the very first time he heard the classic Dickens tale; as a child growing up in a camp of migrant farm-workers in the late 1960’s. On that magical night, an old movie actor happens upon the camp on his way to a performance of his one-man show and is entreated to perform the story for the group. Suddenly, through the magic of a child’s mind, the group is transformed into a company of players who take us through the timeless journey of Ebenezer Scrooge as he evolves from a miserly old grouch to a happy, generous man with the help of Jacob Marley, the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future, and the Cratchit family.

Sunday Performance Times: Dec. 12 @ 5p.m. & Dec. 19 @ 2p.m.
