About This Show

Today Latinos are the majority in California but back in 1964 that was not the case! Nine year old Junior’s “Old World” Mexican dad drove his 57 Chevy and picked up his family from Mexico moving them to diverse South Central and then to the eerily homogenous San Fernando Valley. Ric Salinas performs this hilarious one-man play written by Emmy Award winning writer/comedian Cris Franco, which explores the immigrant mis-adventures of “double immigrants” who first moved from their homelands to the U.S. barrios in search of opportunity – then moved on up into the suburbs in search of color TV and the middle-class American dream. Take that Trump!
