About This Show

Fans of the classic tale Sleeping Beauty can catch it at Port Washington’s Landmark on Main Street both Saturday, April 28th and Sunday, April 29th at 3 PM. Choreographed by Robert Royce and set to Tchaikovsky’s marvelous score, this 75-minute version of Sleeping Beauty is an ideal introduction for children to traditional classical ballet.

The production stars Jessica Fry of the Maryland Ballet Theatre and features the exquisite costumes designed and constructed by, Huntington Ballet Theatre’s Artistic Director and Designer, Angela Whitehill. The 20 glittering tutus in HBT’s Sleeping Beauty are all made from recycled fabrics. The actual skirts have been reconstructed from England’s Royal Ballet 1972 version of Sleeping Beauty and the bodices and overskirts are made from exotic saris imported from India.
