About This Show

Landmark on Main Street begins its 2006-07 season with a cabaret performance by Ann Hampton Callaway. The performance is sponsored by Susan Isaacs and Elkan Abramowitz.

The dynamic singer/songwriter is best known for authoring and singing the theme song to the hit series The Nanny and her Tony-nominated performance in the Broadway musical Swing! She can also be seen making her feature film debut this year opposite Angelina Jolie and Matt Damon in the new Robert DeNiro film The Good Shepherd, performing the standard “Come Rain or Come Shine.” She recorded “Isn’t It Romantic?” and “The Nearness of You” in Wayne Wong’s Last Holiday, starring Queen Latifah.

A multi-platinum selling songwriter and singer, Ms. Callaway signed with the Grammy Award winning label Telarc International last year and the result is the thrilling new CD Blues In The Night. The album is a stirring collection of American Songbook classics, mixed with potent and witty original songs. The recording contains several jazz standards, but with arrangements and interpretations far from standard. Don’t miss this intelligent and spontaneous entertainer during her first performance in the intimate Jeanne Rimsky Theater.
