It’s 1962. The world holds its breath as the Americans and Soviets are on the brink of war. In Hollywood, they’re making a monster movie; Godzilla Vs Kong. This fast and witty new comedy drama is about the people making that film and the actors in the monster costumes, who share worrying personality traits with their on-screen counterparts. Willis; an alcoholic and violent wreck, hell-bent on self-destruction plays Kong. Hauro; vicious, calculating and with a god complex plays Godzilla. Cultures clash (as do monsters) as the egos of the men inside the costumes prove to be just as destructive as the Cuban Missile Crisis never was. From this fantastic concept, the play deals with a variety of relevant themes; destruction, war, pride, principles and huge monsters, both inside and out in a witty and highly entertaining style.
