In a remarkable coup for the Peter Hall Company season at the Theatre Royal Bath, Peter Gill directs the world premiere of his first new play for six years. In Another Door Closed two sisters visit their childhood home. As the memories flood back - some poignant, some happy, some disturbing - a visitor arrives. It appears, many years ago, the sisters' mother had been very kind to him… With more than fifty years experience as an actor, writer and director, Peter Gill is one of British theatre's most influential figures. At the Royal Court Theatre in the sixties he was responsible for introducing D H Lawrence's plays to the theatre and was the founding director of Riverside Studios and the Royal National Theatre Studios. He has directed nearly one hundred productions in the UK, Europe and North America including recently The Importance of Being Earnest with Penelope Keith. His plays include the Olivier Award nominated The York Realist and Small Change.
