About This Show

The Drawer Boy is an amusing and sensitive look at a slice of Canadian farm life. Morgan and Angus are two aging World War II veterans living a quiet and secluded existence on the farm when suddenly their carefully crafted routine takes a dramatic turn. Miles, a young actor, shows up on their doorstep and has decided to make them his “muse” to get hands-on experience for a play he’s writing about rural life. Though Morgan doesn’t initially welcome the idea, he agrees to let him stay. Thus begins a journey filled with humor and overwhelming tenderness that explores the true meaning of friendship, revealing the power of art and how dramatically it can transform the human mind. Inspired by a true event in theatre history.
