About This Show

Modelogues is a fashionable farce of light and amusing characters that peeks into the sometimes unattractive industry of modeling. Models are self-centered, brainless twits, right? Well, duh. Who knew that having long legs and an ability to walk in stilettos could lead to a career. But, don’t knock the Sasquatch off her runway pedestal before first looking at who propped her up there.

Modelogues explores society’s views on beauty, fascination with fame, and the colorful cast of characters who make a living off the genetically well-endowed. We visit a huckster agent, a drugged-up roller skating designer, and a Models Anonymous group meeting. We also meet some lesser known industry players, who should hide before they’re institutionalized. Among them are a crazed backstage dresser, a gang of fanatical model groupies, and an Italian party-promoting pimp.

A comedy in two acts, Modelogues is comprised of several monologues and various short scenes. All the characters are played by a six person cast of three women and three men.
