About This Show

The gypsy enchantress of Prosper Mérimée’s novella that captured the imagination of the world now inspires daring and innovative Cirque du Soleil director Franco Dragone to bring Carmen to life for a new millennium. This new adaptation is infused with dazzling imagery, original Flamenco music and dance. The classic story of love and betrayal is told from the perspective of José, a soldier who becomes ensnared by a beautiful gypsy seductress.

The production features original music by John Ewbank, a book and choreography by Sarah Miles, lyrics by AnnMarie Milazzo, and set design by Klara Zieglerova.
