About This Show

On March 6, 2007, 361 workers — mostly mothers — were arrested on the job in New Bedford, MA and put in deportation proceedings. The lives of hundreds of young children were thrown off their tracks that day, and shock waves went out across the country. Three months later, these children and their families continue to be devastated by financial hardship and emotional uncertainty.

Please join the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition (MIRA) for a benefit to help children and families affected by the New Bedford raid. All proceeds collected by MIRA will go to the Niños Fund and will be administered by the Community Foundation of Southeastern Massachusetts and New Bedford community organizations. The Niños Fund provides financial support to families caring for children affected by the March 6 raid.

The MIRA Coalition is a statewide organization that advocates for the rights and opportunities of immigrant communities.
