The Center for Immigrant Resources and Community Arts
(CIRCA) presents stories about gender, family, same sex marriage, and friendship in a collection of new short pieces called Short Acts. Designed as a venue to encourage new writers, it is a tapestry of works-in-progress from Lani Montreal, Larry Leopoldo, Thelma Virata de Castro, Louie Pascasio and Felix Racelis illuminating issues not often spoken in dinner table chatters. Directed by Levi Aliposa, Daisy Castro, Anida Youe Esguerra, Lani Montreal, John Ola, Louie Sison and Giau Truong, the project is a collaboration with Pintig Cultural Group, Insight Arts and United Church of Rogers Park.
