Based on Louisa May Alcott’s cherished portrait of a family growing up in New England during the Civil War, Little Women is the story of the March girls and their dreams, plays, pranks, and courtships. The play depicts a household of independent and outspoken females. Through the strength, encouragement, and loving ways of their mother, sisters Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy embrace life. During sorrowful moments and joyful times, they follow their hearts to courageously live outside of society’s norms and the expectations placed upon women during the nineteenth century.
