The Rise of David Levinsky

First came Rags, then came Ragtime, and now comes The Rise of David Levinsky. This new and wonderful theatrical experience closes The New Vista Theatre Company’s inaugural season. Artistic Director Avi Hoffman stars as the title character in this heartwarming musical about a man who arrives at Ellis Island as a poor, penniless orphan, and grows into the most successful garment manufacturer in America. But at what cost? Hoffman originated the role of the younger David Levinsky in the show’s New York engagement in 1983.
