The Sound of Music

Tony Award-nominee Marla Schaffel stars as Maria in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s classic The Sound
of Music. Maria is a nun in training, and is sent from a nearby convent to act as governess to the seven children of the widowed Austrian aristocrat, Captain Georg Von Trapp. Despite a rocky beginning with the family, she eventually wins the hearts of the children and their father. With the impending Nazi occupation of Austria, the family barely escapes to the safety of Switzerland.
